BYD D1 is the electric car for app coming soon

Starting this week, the D1 EV model, the first electric vehicle tailored to meet the application transport market, in addition to the corporate segment and rental companiesbegins to circulate in the city of São Paulo, in a test phase with a 99.

The D1 EV was designed from a partnership between BYD and DiDi Chuxing, the world’s largest mobility company and 99th owner. The development of the model was based on the company’s experience and analysis of data from its user base.

The main advantages of the D1 EV are safety, operational efficiency and better passenger experience and comfort, especially in terms of interior space.

As an average car, the D1 EV comes with driver assistance technologies with top-of-the-line safety settings including adaptive cruise control (ACC), autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane departure warning (LDW) and lane departure warning. pedestrian collision (PCW).

These features are combined with a driver interaction panel with onboard voice assistant and a smart steering wheel. The car can integrate the entire race reception service flow, from driver verification, boarding and disembarking, to payment and customer service.

The design of the sliding doors facilitates fast and safe boarding and disembarkation. The vehicle offers passengers extra space and greater control over environmental and infotainment settings.

Driver adaptations include an ergonomically designed seat, ideal for long periods of driving, and a more friendly driver-partner space configuration.

At 4,390 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,650 mm in height, the BYD D1 EV offers the size of a mid-size SUV, while the wheelbase of an astonishing 2,800 mm refers to large luxury sedans.

The electric motor delivers 130 hp of power and 18.3 kgfm of maximum torque and the maximum speed is limited to 130 km/h.

As far as autonomy is concerned, Blade batteries with a capacity of 53 kWh guarantee a range of 371 km with a charge by the WLTP cycle (418 km NEDC).

BYD is a new member of the Mobility Alliance

The Alliance for Sustainable Mobility, founded and led by 99, a technology company focused on urban mobility and convenience, gains another ally with the arrival of BYD.

Started in April this year, the Alliance has 10 companies such as 99, BYD, CAOA Chery, Ipiranga, Movida, Unidas, Raízen, Tupinambá Energia and Zletric.

The initiative is part of DriverLAB, an innovation center 100% focused on 99’s partner drivers, which has a planned investment of R$250 million over the next 3 years, with R$100 million in 2022 alone.

99’s initiative to create the Alliance has goals set as increasing the share of electric vehicles among new cars to 10% of sales by 2025, today at 2%.

The partnership also aims to create 10,000 public charging stations throughout Brazil by 2025 (there are currently around 1,500), zero carbon emissions by 99 by 2030, put 300 99 electric cars into circulation this year and reach 10 thousand by 2025.
