Galaxy S22 deals: $100 off Amazon, up to $850 off Samsung and more

Featured on February 9th at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked eventSamsung’s latest phones are the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra — Successors to the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Note series that were discontinued late last year. There were major stock and backorder issues when these phones first hit shelves in February, but things have improved since then. While select colors and configurations are still on backorder, most carriers and retailers have at least some configurations of each model available for immediate purchase.

The Galaxy S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra all feature several key camera improvements, including larger pixel sensors and Adaptive Pixel technology for improved night shots and videos. There’s an improved portrait mode, as well as a new auto-framing feature that can recognize and track up to 10 people to capture everyone clearly in one photo.

However, it is Galaxy S22 Ultra that caused the biggest uproar. Samsung’s top-of-the-line phone introduces the S Pen to the S series for the first time, paying homage to the now-discontinued Note.

The S22 Ultra also features significant camera upgrades, including Samsung’s largest pixel sensor ever, as well as a suite of RAW photo tools for more extensive editing, and an advanced Super Clear Glass lens for smoother and sharper night videos without flare.

You can also save up to $850 with an eligible trade-in, such as getting the Ultra for as low as $350. In addition, Samsung’s website offers you 1% back as a reward.

If you’re also looking for a tablet from the new Galaxy Tab S8 lineup, you can get up to $200 in trade-in credit on the Galaxy Tab S8, S8 Plus and S8 Ultra models when you order direct from Samsung, as well as up to $100 in Google Play credit.

If you don’t want the headache of navigating carriers, plans, and installments, you want an unlocked phone that you can buy outright. Deals on these are pretty slim right now, but Amazon is currently offering select colors and configurations of the S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra for $100 below the usual list price. While these deals only cover the base models with 128GB of storage, this is a rare opportunity to snag a brand new Galaxy phone at an unconditional discount.

We’ve seen this Amazon offer come and go before, and it doesn’t usually last very long. So order soon if you hope to access this offer.

This time, AT&T is getting far more aggressive with its trade-in offers for the Galaxy S22 devices. The carrier is the same as Verizon’s offering from last year and is accepting select phones any condition as a trade-in. If you have any Galaxy Note, S or Z series phones from any year, you can get $800 off the new Galaxy S22 devices even if your trade-in is broken or won’t turn on.

This promotion allows you to get the base Galaxy S22 for free via qualifying installment plan credits. The credits will be given over a period of 36 months and if you cancel the service before the end of the 36 months you will have to pay the balance. This means you could technically pay as little as $0 for the Galaxy S22, less than $6 a month for the Galaxy S22 Plus, and around $11 a month for the S22 Ultra. However, note that credits begin 90 days after purchase and you are required to prepay all taxes and related fees on the retail price.

All three Galaxy S22 models are available now and have free shipping, with most colors and configurations shipping immediately.

Verizon has a number of promotions for the Galaxy S22 range for both new and existing customers. The deals allow you to trade broken old phones for new ones, which the network operator started doing last year. If you don’t have a phone you want to part with, Verizon also has a deal that doesn’t require a trade-in.

If you’re a current Verizon subscriber or someone looking to switch to Verizon, there are some great deals you can take advantage of. If you’re new, get up to $800 off carrier discounts on any of the Galaxy S22 phones with a qualifying trade-in and activation on select 5G Unlimited plans. Verizon still accepts old and broken phones as part of that, and to sweeten the deal, Verizon also gives you a $200 Verizon gift card for every new line you add to your plan.

Existing customers can upgrade to the Galaxy S22 Series and save up to $700 over 36 months of billing credit on select Unlimited plans with a qualifying trade-in. And if you’re looking to buy a new smartwatch, Verizon is also offering a $120 discount on eligible Samsung Galaxy Watches with the purchase of a new Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, or S22 Ultra phone.

All three models are currently available with free two-day shipping.

It’s worth noting that Verizon is now using 36-month terms instead of 24-month terms, so make sure this works for you before placing your order.

Best Buy now offers support for upgrades and new lines from Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile both in-store and online. While you can technically save up to $150 on unlocked models, same-day activation through AT&T, Verizon, Spring, or T-Mobile is required to receive the discount, so you’re still better off stocking up on one the mobile operator’s offers. With select trade-ins, you can save up to $1,000 at Verizon, $800 at AT&T, and $620 at T-Mobile.

All three models are currently available for in-store delivery and collection.

T-Mobile usually goes out of their way to release new phone releases with some pretty sweet deals for new customers and existing customers alike. This time, T-Mobile is offering two deals: one for those with Magenta Max and one for those without.

Customers who have a Magenta Max plan can get the Galaxy S22 for free when they trade in an eligible device. If you choose the Galaxy S22 Plus or Ultra, T-Mobile will give you an $800 trade-in discount. For those who don’t have a Magenta Max plan, T-Mobile is offering up to $400 off any of the new Galaxy S22 devices when you trade in an eligible device. Both options use 24-month billing credits. And for new or existing customers who want to add two or more voice lines to a plan, you can get a second one for $800 new with the purchase of an S22, S22 Plus or S22 Ultra.

Each model is discounted between $200 and $400 off the purchase price (except for the 256GB Ultra model).

Since Boost Mobile is a prepaid provider, you’ll have to buy the phone outright, but at this price point, it’s worth it.
